The offering

Aluminium is what makes a big opening possible: sliding and stacking doors, folding doors and window walls in slim frames that carry glass sizes timber cannot. Supplied, installed and sealed as one job.

The appeal is straightforward. Aluminium holds a large pane in a thin frame, it does not swell, rot or need repainting, and a well made stacking door lets a living room and a terrace become one space. It is the right choice for almost every contemporary opening we build.

The specification is where the differences live. Powder coating on the coast is specified for marine exposure, and near the sea the ironmongery and fixings matter as much as the frame. Glazing is chosen for the elevation: safety glass where the regulations require it, laminated glass where security or noise is the concern, and performance glass on a western elevation that would otherwise cook the room every afternoon.

Fitting decides whether the frame leaks. A large sliding door on a wind driven elevation needs its sill drainage set correctly, the frame properly packed and shimmed, and the perimeter sealed to the building rather than smeared over. Cape winter rain arrives horizontally and finds every shortcut taken during installation.

We work with established South African systems, and we take the openings out, install and make good ourselves, so a window replacement does not become three trades blaming each other.
