The offering

A pool is a structure, a water treatment system and a piece of landscaping at the same time. We build new pools and plunge pools, and we renovate existing ones that have cracked, leaked or simply dated.

Placement decides how much a pool is used. We look at where the sun sits in the late afternoon, where the wind comes from, what can be seen from inside the house, and how far someone has to walk from the water to a towel. On the Peninsula the wind alone can be the difference between a pool that is swum in and a pool that is looked at.

We build in reinforced gunite and in fibreglass, with the interior in marbelite, quartz or a pebble finish, and we detail the surround as part of the same job so the coping, paving and planting arrive together rather than as three separate visits. Rim flow and infinity edges are worth doing where the site gives you a real horizon and are an expensive mistake where it does not.

Renovation is a large part of this work. An older pool that leaks, has failing marbelite, cracked coping or a pump that costs a fortune to run can usually be resurfaced, replumbed and refitted for far less than a replacement, and that is also the moment to add a cover and a heat pump.

Every pool we build is fitted with a compliant safety barrier or cover. That is a legal requirement under the national building regulations, and it is not a line item we leave to the client to sort out later.
